Vanguard’s Benjamin Njoku had earlier reported of underground plans by the movie marketers under the aegis of Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria, FVPMAN, to blacklist Mercy Johnson Okojie,, in what they call, “ Withdrawing of service from her.”

Nollywood stars, Omotola Jolade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Richard Mofe Damijo and Nkem Owoh in 2005 were the first Nollywood stars to reportedly come under the blacklist hammer of marketers after they allegedly began charging N1m for their roles.

The alleged blacklist ultimately gave other actresses like Ini Edo and Uche Jumbo the opportunity to rise to stardom.

Mercy has been warned she may suffer severe consequences if she refuses to back down.

Should she?
